COOKIES POLICY
1. Introduction: What the Cookies Policy concerns
Through this Cookies Policy (hereinafter the “Policy”), the company “EFMI SA” (hereinafter the “Company”) provides the users and visitors of its website (hereinafter “users”) with information regarding the use of digital trackers (hereinafter “cookies”). In particular, the user receives information regarding the meaning of cookies, the type of cookies installed on their terminal device, the type of data they collect, the purpose, and the recipients to whom this data may be transmitted.
In addition, through this Policy, the user is informed of the possibility of configuring or disabling cookies, depending on the type of cookies and the browser used.
2. Definition of cookies
Cookies are small digital text files which are sent from the website’s server (web server) to the user’s terminal device, where they are stored, when the user visits the website. The purpose of cookies is to send information to the server each time the user performs specific functions on the website, such as, for example, when selecting another page of the website or selecting a specific product on a page.
However, this information can be stored on the website’s server (through the storage of the digital trackers on each user’s terminal device) only if the respective user approves it (by providing electronic consent). An exception is the information stored by the necessary (essential) cookies, which is absolutely necessary for the operation of the website, for reasons of security and/or uninterrupted browsing of the user on the website. This information remains stored for a period of time corresponding to the duration of the cookie’s operation in the user’s browser [persistent or non-persistent (session) cookies], unless the user deletes them from their browser.
Based on the respective purpose, either “first-party cookies” are placed, i.e. cookies installed by us ourselves, or “third-party cookies”, which are installed by others, through our website, as you can be informed in detail through the table below.
3. The cookies on this website
On this website, digital tracker technology (cookies) is used and, in particular, the following categories of cookies:
Essential / necessary cookies
The (technically) necessary cookies are used to support the essential functions of the website. The storage of these cookies is absolutely necessary, because, without the storage of these specific cookies, the website cannot operate securely and without interruption, with the result that the user does not enjoy the level of security and usability that they seek. These specific cookies are stored on the user’s terminal device, without any possibility of rejecting them, for the reasons mentioned above. The rejection of these specific cookies would have as a direct result insecure browsing and the absence of the full usability of the website during the user’s browsing.
Analytics and traffic measurement cookies
Analytics and traffic measurement cookies collect information about the way in which users interact with the web pages, collecting and sending aggregated information on an, usually, anonymous basis, for the purpose of statistical analysis, improvement of the website and the provision of content sought by users (such as, for example, which pages they visit most frequently, the time they spend on the website, or whether they encountered problems or received error messages from the web pages). These cookies are placed by us or by third-party providers, on our behalf. Their installation is permitted only with the consent of the user.
Advertising cookies
(Behavioural) advertising cookies have as their purpose the provision of content that is more suited to users and their interests. They collect information on users’ preferences for the purpose of sending targeted advertising or measuring the effectiveness of a particular advertising campaign. These cookies are placed by us or by third parties on our behalf and help us provide you with personalised and targeted information both during and after the users’ visit to the website. Their installation is permitted only with your consent as a user.
Cookies for sharing pages on social networks
These cookies provide the ability to share the content of our pages on social media, provided that the user has already given consent. By selecting to share content, these social media install their own cookies on the visitor’s/user’s terminal device (third-party cookies). Their installation is permitted only with the consent of the user. For more information, we refer you to the Cookies Policies of these media.
